Sky, Lake Powell AZ

The sun was full on my screen and I was shooting more or less blind over people’s heads – or, as it turned out, not quite over. So I had to crop the photo’s bottom more than I intended. For comparison purposes, I’d like to have the shot I meant to take, but this is what I have.

Golden mountain topped by fluffy clouds over Lake Powell.

I expect you’ll be tired of looking at shots of our trip to Utah before I tire of posting them. What really surprised me is how everyone has said, “Utah?” with sort of a blank look on their face. The “Really? You went to Utah?” is left unsaid but not unheard.

Yup. Utah. Really.

In the interests of full disclosure, we launched on this boat ride from Arizona, but I think Lake Powell forms the border with Utah in that area.
