Northern Mockingbird, Chandler AZ

On the subject of serendipity in photography, this (male?) (in breeding plumage?) northern mockingbird is also part of that category. I was heading to the street-side of the Environmental Education Center to see if I could get a photo of a pink Baja fairy duster, to go along with my red ones. Alas, they were done blooming, at least for now.

But on a rope acting as a guy wire for a saguaro cactus, this little fellow.

Northern mockingbird on guy wire.
