This is me, still slogging through my exercise program in my basement. And delighted to have a basement gym. Most days . . .

Poetry of the Week
O, to take what we love inside,
to carry within us an orchard, to eat
not only the skin, but the shade,
not only the sugar, but the days, to hold
the fruit in our hands, adore it, then bite into
the round jubilance of peach.Read the whole poem, here.
It's a tad more lyrical than my haiku-ish effort which, in the original, has only three lines:
Purveyed in plastic,
Slimy, bite-sized squish. Peaches?
Maybe. But no ice.Posted: May 10
Article of the Week
The farmer, deeply attuned to nature’s rhythms and the passage of time, reminds us: It is not only how we harvest our crops that matters, but how we harvest the fleeting gift of time itself. - On the Omer and Orchids

I can definitely see your progress in your push-ups! You are much more solid in your core now. As well, I’m very happy to see your physiology approach has changed. The new exercises look promising. How long have you been working with the new approach to balancing the sides?
Heather – Thank you. That’s great. I’m always surprised by how much an observer with some knowledge sees (as opposed to what I see). My trainer can tell by watching my “plank step-outs” from above me and from several feet away whether I have my core “set.” As for the new approach, a few months. Maybe since September?
Hi Isabel,
I agree with Heather that I think the improvement in form in your pushups is very clear. You are much more stable, and your neck is straighter, which is hard to remember to do. Great work overall and thanks for the update!
Lorna
Lorna – 🙂 Thanks! I did notice that my head has stopped trying to help, which might be the same thing as having a straight neck. It’s good to have some video to compare, because every day it feels just as hard.
