Fuchsia, Vancouver BC

I hear from a photographer friend that underexposing reds can help in capturing their detail, so I’ve been playing around with that. Mostly, trying to remember to try it!

These backlit fuchsia blossoms rewarded me for my attention.

    Under exposing. Ah…. I must try that with the Japanese cutleaf maple by our front door.

      Jim – It’s a trick I learned from another Jim, who advised me that it can help with preventing colours from “blowing out.” I can make it work sometimes.
